Hi, I just wanted to ask you guys a quick, elementary question about
configuring TV-out. Now, I have only used LinuxMCE as a media center in the
past and it had this feature where you pressed a button at boot to configure
TV output and resolutions and such (using a number system, so it could be
configuring without a working monitor - and then hopefully the monitor would
work and the rest of the setup would continue).
Now, how would I do this with Freevo. My scenario is this (Or will be this):
Debian Etch with Freevo on top and nvtv - I'm gonig to install everything
using my regular computer monitor because it's close to internet access and
while I'm still in a debian environment, it's close to a mouse and keyboard
and so on, but then I'm going to move it down to my television.. and the
output is going to have to be changed, which I can imagine isn't easy
without a working monitor. How do you guys deal with something like this?
Just press the 'TV ON' button in nvtv, close the computer and move it down?
I haven't tried this, but there must be an easier way, no? I mean, I can run
a livecd such as the Freevo 2.x on the box connected to the TV and it just
autodetects the display - same with geexbox.
I hope there's an easy solution, because it does seem like a very trivial
question. I just haven't found an answer anywhere..
Thanks in advance,
Emil
