Some comments on my voting :)

More info on what I would like to see:

TV Watching:

TV watching would be much better if it was like a stand alone PVR, I would
like to see fastforward and rewind (I realise things like mplayer and xine
have issues with these) working, pause, and record working while watching
TV.

I would like to be able to record multiple channels from DVB if they are
on the same MUX and also some OSD channel / program information if
possible.

Configuration:

Configuration, especially for a newbie, is really hard work. And having a
python file, while convenient, is really hard if you mess up and it just
all breaks, I think config should move to a real config file, and a config
"GUI" would be great too, this would help adoption.

Music Listening:

For music, I use Amarok on my machine at work and it is probably the best
music player I have come across. It quite happily syncs with my filesystem
layout (artist, album, tracks directory layout with cover.jpg) but
provides a database with play by type etc. I really want the music
playback to have some of those features.

Other:

Missing from the list is a more consistent control system with less unique
commands. Having a separate key for stop and back seems silly, and again
the difference between enter and select is very awkward, especially when
using a MS remote, ideally I would like to do all my navigation and
selection using the cursor pad, OK, and back / info. At the moment I have
to have enter mapped to another key to use some functionality.

This would also help with people using things like the apple remote, easy
navigation / control is possible with a small number of buttons, I think
freevo should slim down it's button usage dramatically to make life
easier.
