Thank you for the info. :)
I enabled SKIN_DEBUG=True. But I do not see any debug info in the terminal nor 
Freevo itself.
Anyway, I tried to edit the geexbox.fsd file. Copied some code from Blur.fxd.
I managed to free up the area where the programme info must be.
But I can't get any TV programme info ithat area... Will try some more later.
