Hi all, I had exactly the same problem last week-end (on a previously running fedora core - freevo combination, moved to a brand new Gutsy + freevo with geole): whatever I tried to do, no output, no logs, as if absolutely nothing was running...
I uninstalled the freevo deb, autoremove, removed geole from the sources.list and am currently rebuilding from source. System is Ubuntu Gutsy AMD64 with an HVR-1110. I know from source it should work: I managed to get freevo 1.8.0rc2 to run on an iBook Ubuntu Gutsy ppc without difficulties.
