I use debian too, but i couldnt find the script to scan smb shares. I
as understand from the docs, with autofs you have to know in advance
the shares.
I found another package that seems to do what I want. It´s called
smbnetfs. It´s capable of scan the network and mount the shares
automagically. The nice thing is that it mounts the shares as
<root_mount_point>/GROUP/SERVER/SHARE. The bad news is that is poorly
documented :-(
