I agree. But, looking at my wallet, that my take quite some years! Ha ha. ;) That's why I hope that animations *will* be optional. By the way, I saw that someone wrote that GL works flawlessly on the Intel video-chip that is used quite often these days in laptops. This indeed is good news for me. I would like to buy a new laptop, but all the nice, light-weight, cheap ones have that Intel chip. On the other hand: GL works flawlessly on the Nvidia and Ati cards that I own w/ the proprietary driver too. It's when I try to activate (analogue) TV-out when the GL troubles begin to show. TV-out only works w/ the proprietary Nvidia driver when there is no computer-monitor (i.e. VGA) attached to my PC during boot-up, that is when my PC boots from the TV. Strange isn't it? And another strange TV-out prob.: booting from TV w/ the 'nv or 'vesa' driver seems to crash on starting X. No probs there of course w/ booting from VGA/CRT. Weid, weird, weird..... Anyway, Freevo still seems to impress most of my family and friends when they see it. Even the ones who are used to the bling-bling of MS-mediacenter and that Mac-media-thingy. :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
