Hi. It's very hard for me to believe that azureus+mplayer works well, but freevo+mplayer doesn't. Perhaps there is some problem about how freevo calls mplayer. Could you post the full command used by freevo when you run the videos? You can see it in the logs. And also, the command you use to run mplayer from the command line.
