Hi,
I've been breaking my head several times trying to get the remote of my
Pinnacle PCTV Analog Classic PCI to work, but never succeeded. Not using the
event interface, not using lirc.
So, quite some time ago I've bought a cheap USB-IRDA receiver, only to find
out that this this is not capable of handling remotes :-(
Now, I bought a Logitech Harmony 525, and like to give it another try. So
I've plugged in the original ir into the PCTV card, and loaded the modules
that are needed for the thing to work. And yes, I get an extra event device
in /dev/input with the name "Pinnacle PCTV", so you'd think it would work...
wrong... using the input-events tool I get nothing at all from this thing!
Not using the original remote, not using the Harmony. I have tried using
lirc as well, without any luck.
Maybe someone has a tip on a usb-ir receiver? I don't have a serial port, so
the IR-blaster is not an option. Also I'd like it to work without lirc, just
using the event interface. Any ideas?
Sorry to ask this here, but I just don't want to buy another device that
doesn't do what I want.
