Hi guys,
I am trying to set up DVB tv in freevo and I think I am very close. Hopefully
once I get this part of the Freevo box running I can leave it alone for a
while, keep the wife happy, and stop nagging this user list.
I am running Arch 64 bit if it makes any difference.
I have set up a channels.conf file in my ./Mplayer directory.
I also have changed a few settings in local_conf.py as well as obvious
freevo.conf editing.
However, I think the issue lies in the fact that mplayer is not correctly set
up to play dvb streams. When tuning in to a digital station using mplayer i
get the following:

[la...@wetland /]$ mplayer "dvb://WIN HD"
MPlayer 1.0rc2-4.3.2 (C) 2000-2007 MPlayer Team
CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00GHz (Family: 15, Model: 4, Stepping: 4)
CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 0 3DNow2: 0 SSE: 1 SSE2: 1
Compiled with runtime CPU detection.
115 audio & 237 video codecs
mplayer: could not connect to socket
mplayer: No such file or directory
Failed to open LIRC support. You will not be able to use your remote control.

Playing dvb://WIN HD.
dvb_tune Freq: 184625000

Exiting... (End of file)

And that is all... No picture or any Mplayer window. How can I make it play
the transport stream?
However, I can tzap a channel with the -r switch and then run:
mplayer /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0

This results in the channel showing in an mplayer screen.
What are the correct local_conf.py settings for tv as the wiki is not quite up
to date on these settings?
Do I need to configure Mplayer some more?
FYI, when i select a channel from the tv guide in freevo I get a blank screen
and then the display returns to the tv guide.
Cheers guys.
Larry
