My old school (Kenwood) stereo gave out last month, and I am considering alternatives. I'd like to have a dvr/tivo-like device as well as the ability to play music from disk and/or SD card. Plus all the traditional audio functions. Considerations:
* FM stereo * AM reception highly desirable as well * I have Dish (EchoStar) sat TV * SD Card music source (since my car and personal devices both already use these) * What about an amplifier? * what remote (of course) * Play DVD * with saved video, can I burn to DVD? * Play CDs. * Already have component Sony speaker system including subwoofer * Considering the above, what hardware component and case would you suggest? What's the verdict? If freevo can't do all, are there other things I can also install that will round it out without interfering with freevo? If it looks like I'm trying to do too much here, are there other non-freevo options you can suggest?
