Hi, I have build a Mandriva 2009.1 rpm package of Freevo 1.9.0 and the corresponding kaa-packages, but since I'm running into some minor issues I'd like to make sure it's not the rpm's fault before I put it on ftp... :-)
First, the display. My box is set-up to display at 720x768 (PAL) resolution. In 1.8.3 I just entered 'geometry = 720x576' in freevo.conf. Worked fine. In 1.9.0 the main screen is suddenly very small, and I have to enter 'geometry = 960x740' in order to get Freevo to fill the entire 720x576 screen... am I doing something wrong? I noticed the kaa-display package, and installed that (with X11 support), but that didn't make any difference. Is kaa-display a new dependency? Or is it just optional? Second is mplayer... suddenly that just doens't repond as I was used to. When I press 'subtitle', the sound stops for half a second and no message mentioning selecting a subtitle is shown on screen... the subtitle does get selected though, but when switching subtitles on a dvd with more than one subtitle this can be annoying. Also when I seek, no progress-bar is displayed so I have no idea where I am... I have never seen this behaviour from 1.5.4 to 1.8.3. I have switched back to 1.8.3, and the above issues were gone immediately. Any thoughts? Michel
