Freevo has a built-in autoshutdown function that can be enabled and configured in your local_conf.py. Look in the AUTOSHUTDOWN CONFIGURATION section. It's pretty well documented in the file itself and there are options to shutdown and startup at various times or based on certain events. There's a PROCESS LIST where you can specify which processes, if active, will prevent autoshuAtdown from initiating even if the designated shutdown interval has elapsed.
