Hi Adam,
Thanks for that. I figured as much. No there is no distro update happening
during that time. I have a very minimal install of Archlinux which only has
services running which I have started ...
which is why I decided to use Arch .. it is very sleek and fast .. even with
KDE.
I think I may be up for option 1. AT the moment I have a medium speed ATA
drive. I think I will install a fast SATA drive and dedicate it to media.
