Evan, Thanks for the tip! It worked, I do not have clue how did I missed this ;) Probably assumed that svn allways have some fixes in it and installed it over emerged versions without giving a try. So I emerged what gentoo portage offered and it works fine for now: kaa-base-0.6.0 kaa-imlib2-0.2.3-r1 kaa-metadata-0.7.7
As for twisted - I never thought much on versions, usually accepted what portage offered. There were problems back but it was looong time ago. Though I did not allow to install v9 which portage wanted to emerge. 8.2 works fine with exception that I installed it from source, not via portage - it did not install web for twisted (e.g., I got errors that woven is missing). My other box running freevo 1.8.3 works with 8.1 for quite long time now, 8.1 come with web. Best wishes in New Year! Reggie
