I have installed Freevo 1.8.2 in Ubuntu 10.04 with python 2.6, so I think
python version shouldn't be a problem. I attach the script that I use to
install Freevo manually. I think it should be wise to install the same
packages that were available for Freevo 1.8.2 at release time:

   - kaa-base-0.4.0.tar.gz
   - kaa-imlib2-0.2.3.tar.gz
   - kaa-metadata-0.7.4.tar.gz
   - PyXML-0.8.4.tar.gz

I attach also the script I use to run Freevo.
