I'm still facing this issue. But I got the problem for more than the games plugin. I updated my Debian box to current unstable yesterday. Freevo is still at released 1.9.0. Today, I configured a main menu item to start firefox. Works quite nice without a WM. After quitting firefox, I get the same segfault from pygame. What I forgot to mention in the first post: I'm running 'freevo -f' from the console (actually autologin, but the same happens when manually starting from the console) I'd appreciate any pointers where I could continue investigating...
