Hi all, Since mid December the shoutcast plugin does not seem to work anymore but crashes Python while downloading the genre list. Has anybody experienced the same problem? I have not seen any comments on the mailing list.
I tried this with versions 1.8.1, 1.9.0 and 1.9.2b1 (changes on shoutcast.py have been minimal anyhow). The reason seems to be that the attempt to read the url 'http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/newxml.phtml' does not return anything, which causes Python to crash later during parsing. Has Shoutcast changed its API or finally deleted a legacy API that this plugin made use of? The official Shoutcast API documentation seems to describe a different access method than the one used in the plugin.
