I'll take a look this evening. But I don't want to update the whole
system because of python 2.6. I did that around christmas, but decided
yesterday that there are too many annoying things (e.g. video finishing
and absolutely no reaction to the remote and the keyboard with a black
screen, sometimes this even happend when stopping the video manually;
when new files appeared in a dir, freevo just went to a black screen
even when not in that dir; sometimes the black screen appeared when
changing to console and back to X, so I guess all that came from an X or
vga driver update, which made me go back to a backuped version of the
whole system)

I'll report back weather I can switch to python 2.6 without too many
hastles. Is it planned to make python 2.6 a requirement for 1.9.2 ? If
so, I don't really have a choice ;)
I could try going to the freshly released squeeze (debian 6.0) with the
box, but I'd rather not mess too much with the box again. I'll do that
if I get a bit more time working on the machine.

Cheers,
Manuel
