Yes glib rpms in place, needed to rebuild skel twice, 2nd time removed
gnome dependent openssh rpm, this time also the fresh-ish install of the
server had less things removed i.e. rwall, telnet etc still on

Yes

Now on to tripping up over MySQL, PHP etc ... :-)

Then I can test out the sand boxes I've created in these VSs

Got Postgresql on one, had to resort to the php rpms, which meant copying
/var/lib/rpm to that VS;

the other one of my pair also had the rpm db copied,
so that Sun's j2sdk could be installed (admittedly by root), followed by
ApacheJServ-1.1.2-1.i386.rpm to use its mod_jserv.so with Tomcat - working
so far, although a few adjustments were needed including getting tomcat to
listen on 8088 as 8080 is for VS httpd!
Now for Cocoon-1.8.x

Then when I have all these toys, I'll have to think of something to do with
them :-)
