The frontpage client says that FP extensions are not installed on the server
while the web server logs say that there's some file permission or missing
file error (something along those lines - I don't really remember as I have
already removed FP from my server for the time being)

Two weeks ago if I am not mistaken Dave post the installation steps for FP
on a RH 7 system using Apache 1.3.14 (patched with improved mod_frontpage).
I did the same for a RH 6.2 system using Apache 1.3.14 patched with improved
mod_frontpage, and configured the fpexec-caller to web instead of nobody,
but after installation the web server does not work eventhough it is
started. I patched the 1.3.12 as well, but still no results - the FP client
still says that FPE is not installed on the server...

I, as you did the installation from RPM, I see this becoming a serious
problem when I try to get SSL working, hopefully someone will have an
answer for that problem later on.

The instructions below worked for installing the fp extensions. the instal
script completed without error, but now as I try to test with a windows
client I am getting a number of errors, the first error said that there was
no server on port 80, so i used port 8080, now I get some confusing mesg
that directs me to the server logs, I have not figure out wich logs they
would be.
