prebuilt skel

Do any of you see any problem with my idea of simply over writing the skel 
on a working server with a pre built one in order to include php and mysql ?

I was thinking about taking it a step further, and using 2 different 
skells, and depending on what the clients purchases build there vs from 
either skel1 or skel2 ,,, any thoughts from the group ?
