time and date issue

Hello everyone, I posted this last night but dont see it on the list,

Im wondering if any of you have noticed that the VS's are a couple of hours 
out in terms of the time and timezone ? how do I correct this ? I tryed 
date --set but I get a permissions error.

the host server does have the correct date and time.
