2 Host servers on one box? It sounds like you would like freeVSD running
within a virtual server, enabling a virtual server to create virtual
servers of it own. Now this is possible, but support for it is in the
very early stages. If you want to play with this you'll need to put the
freevsd rpms into the usr/share/freevsd/pkgs directory and generate the
skel. Then create your virtual servers as normal. The first time you
boot this VS a small script *should* be executed that *should* configure
the virtual server (the same as running vsd-install.pl) and then you
should be free to generate a skel within this VS and then create some
more virtual servers. Please note that you will need a fair amount of
disk space for this.
A Partition in VSD.conf refers to a physical disk partition that
contains skels and virtual servers. Multiple partition support is also
in its early stages (ie there is no protocol or command line support),
but you may manually add an entry in vsd.conf (please be careful, the
format is very specific) for a new partition. Now, to create virtual
servers on this partition you will need a skel on this partition with a
different name from any of the skels on partition 0, as vs_create will
shedule the virtual server to created on the first available partition
with the specified skel. Again, this is in the very early stages so any
testing/porblems/bugs are most welcome, and if you would like to report
anything you find to the freevsd-developers list it would be greatly
appreciated.
