Yes, you can run a nameserver on the hosting server for all the hosted
virtual servers and manipulate its configuration using mod_bind. However,
for more than a couple of hosting servers this is not going ot be a
practical arrangement and you should consider establishing stand-alone
primary and secondary name servers...

The commands shown shouldn't produce any problem (except it should be
'vsdadm bind_addvs....'). I suspect if you miss this command out you will
still see the same error - indicating something else is using the ip
address. I believe vsdredirect can produce that error if a virtual server is
stopped and restarted too quickly.
