Right,

I have just placed a freevsd-pkgs-1.4.8-1rh71.i686.rpm with all of the
necessary patched packages (thanks nick for glibc) on the
ftp.freevsd.org site in the freevsd/RPMS directory. I'm afraid I haven't
put a freevsd rh 71 rpm there as the 1.4.8 source did not contain the
the automatic configuration for iptables (which is available from CVS ,
pre_1_4_8 branch).

PLEASE NOTE: I have not tested this at all yet, other than running
vsd-genskel.pl which worked without fault, and the glibc patch is
working fine (but only for i686 machines at present, more to come when I
get them done). I know that ps isn't working propperly in the virtual
server, but chown does, and I'm afraid thats as far as I got. I'm off
home now, but if anyone wants to download it, test it, and get back to
me with anything else that doesn't work, I would be extremely greatful,
and it should save time in getting the fixes up and running.

Sorry about the rushed and hacky nature of this, but if you could all
help with the testing, hopefully we could get it all sorted alot
quicker.

Many thanks,
Damion.
