Hi - any DNS guru's on this list?
when we set up the web admin scripts we noticed the default DNS that was set
up had the mail/smtp servers in as CNAME's , which, from our experience can
cause trouble with excessive recurrsion - lost emails etc - confusing
sendmail (mind you what can't) etc. so we changed the scripts to put
mail/smtp in as an 'A' record.
however, we notice the windows GUI (lite version) does the same - maybe it's
easy to adapt :) anyone got any comments because I don't think it's wise to
have mail servers as a CNAME and I don't fancy editing each zone the GUI
set's up
