It seems that the above script doesn't have the correct (../local/..) path when installing from source. Also, when I changed it, /etc/rc.d/init.d/vsd status always reports 'vsd dead but subsys locked'. I think this might be cos process name is 'vsd' and there is no 'vsd' process?
