I have just discovered freeVSD and have spent the last several days
reading the documentation and support archives. I would like to
attempt an RPM install and am currently using the 7.1 version of
Redhat.

The RPM directory contains these two packages:

04/05/2001 09:51AM 612,666 freevsd-1.4.7-1rh7.i386.rpm
05/16/2001 08:30PM 623,747 freevsd-1.4.8-1rh6.i386.rpm

Obviously 1.4.8 is the most recent release of freeVSD, but the RPM
appears to be for the 6.2 release of Redhat. The Redhat 7.1 RPM
is obviously a previous version of freeVSD.

Is there no 1.4.8 RPM for 7.1?

I would like to use the latest features of Redhat and freeVSD, but
if 1.4.8 is not yet ported to the new kernel I will install the 6.2
release of Redhat.

Optionally, I could install from source. The latest source tarball:

05/16/2001 08:32PM 666,690 freevsd-1.4.8-1.tar.gz

does not indicate whether it will work with the 6.2 or 7.1 versions
of Redhat.
