1.4.8 on Debian?

Thanks to Damion for annoucing that the new uploads for Redhat... now next
question, who has had successes with building under Debian/Intel?

Speaking personally, we are a Debian only shop, not only from the Free
Software perspective, but also from the *management* point of view.

Or it a question that I need to work on packaging it .deb wise;  and if so,
how many other people would be interested?
