Hi Peter,
quoting section 6.5 of the INSTALL doc, included with freevsd 1.4.9:
-------
6.5. Virtual domains and users.
--------------------------------
1.4.9 Release includes support for Virtual users and domains.
Virtual users are users on the virtual server that do not have any "real"
account
on the machine, this enables you to set up POP3 mail for users on the system,
whilst at the same time having a user with a actual shell/ftp login sharing
the same login name.
This is achieved via the third party package vm-pop3d which instead of using
the
default UNIX /var/spool/username
uses
/var/spool/virtual/<domain-name>/username.
This allows you to have multiple domain names, and multiple usernames.
---------
Please read the rest of the doc for further information.
Cheers,
Nigel.
