Right, so you've changed the apache configuration so that it listens on
port 8082, changed the vsdredirect commands so that they redirect to
8082, and all works?

But when you remove the vsdredirect, and set up ipchains it breaks? Hmm,
its ipchains problem me thinks.
If you could set up the rules and execute:
# ipchains -L
and let me know the output I'd be greatful.
