OK 250 might sound expensive but PLESK doesn't specifically support the FreeVSD
protocol. VSD Client and control aren't just for
setting up Apache etc. They'll be able to do stuff like the following...

o Monitoring the traffic into/out of a VS and displaying it real-time graphically
(perhaps even splitting it up by port to show FTP
packets in a different colour to HTTP etc?)

o The ability to install new features into a skel and choose specific files in a skel
to link a VS to (so that you might have one
'mega' skel with everything in but only select certain features as and when you create
a new VS)

o Remotely moving VSs from one hosting server to another at the click of a mouse (to
upgrade perhaps)

o Administering the CA on the host server

o Modifying the FreeVSD Nameserver

....etc, etc.

Subject: PLESK client admin on freeVSD?

Hi,

At 250 pounds per year, it seems a bit steep for licensing the VSDClient or
VSDControl. Will PLESK (www.plesk.com) work with FreeVSD? It seems very
comprehensive and much cheaper.
