For a complete hosting server and when skels are involved you are going to
pushing it to use a CD. I find using rsync extremely useful. You can use a
minimum boot disk capable of NFS mounting and then rsync over the network
onto the local drive from your master disk elsewhere on the network (or
manually connected to the machine in question). It does mean your
destination drive must be ready partitioned though.
