I noticed on the rh6.2 1.4.9 skel there did not seem to be an implementation
of ping and traceroute available for the admin users of the virtual servers.
If I copy the native ping of the host server, it works. However, it uses the
ip address of the host server as the origin and not the virtual server. I
assume that this is because the virtual server ip address is really only an
alias and the ping uses the primary device to determine the origin ip.
However, is there any plan in the works to implement a subset (ping,
traceroute) of the iputils for the skel or future skels taking the
originating ip as the ip of the virtual host into consideration?
