Remove the iptables module(s), then try it....
In all honesty, having worked with IPTables/Netfilter quite a bit over
the past couple of months, I wouldn't recommend using the stock version
on the 2.4.2-2 kernel. There have been many patches which improve its
functionality, but which require compiling a custom kernel.
Also, I think several of the quota issues that have been talked about
are related to the stock kernel, and loading of modules. The quota
functions are part of the kernel.
I'm finally doing an install of FreeVSD on a 7.1 system with a
customized kernel this weekend. The kernel is running with IPTables and
quota support built-in, and not loaded as modules. I'll let you know how
this works, as I think this will solve a few of the issues.
