look at your vsd.conf file... the secure mode is the only daemon
running most likely, you can uncomment the other daemon (same name
without the S) or you can use the secure commend ( which unfortunately I
don't remember right now ).

Good Luck...

Subject: installed freevsd workstation off the cds from idaya

Hi,

I installed a workstation version of redhat/freevsd off the disks,
everything seemed fine.

i then tried to create a vs from the skel included.

[root@freevsd /root]# hostname
freevsd.globalgold.co.uk
[root@freevsd /root]# vsdadm vs_create freevsd.globalgold.co.uk vsd1
212.250.240.110 vsd.1.globalgold.co.uk 100 0 5 freevsd-skel-1_4_10-1rh6
connection to freevsd.globalgold.co.uk could not be established:
Connection
refused
[root@freevsd /root]#

and am getting the connection refused error.

its the redhat 6.2 version, and the recommeded skel on that disk.
also I have 3 ip addresses on the network card in the machine,
any ideas on what I am doing wrong.

Cheers

Tom Hodder
