Hi Darryl,

Personally, we have done all our freeVSD work on a RH6.2 box (we're now
using a CD from Idaya which has the necessary updates (inc. kernel
2.2.19) preapplied to the distro.

However, I get the impression that support for 2.4 kernels is definitely
improving and we will no doubt be giving it a go in the coming months.

I have copied (CC:) this mail to the mailing list - please could anyone
with any kernel 2.4 comments for Darryl pls send an email directly to
him ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) rather than the list.

Subject: FreeVSD question - 2.4 kernel

Hey Ben,

Dunno if you remember my name at all, but I was subscribed to the
FreeVSD list for a few months back earlier this year. I unsubscribed
because I wasn't using it and the amount of traffic was a little hard to
keep up with, along with everything I'm expected to do in my job. But
anyways, I digress.

I just have a quick question, which I haven't really been able to answer
by reading either the freevsd online docs or your FAQ.

How is support for the 2.4 kernels going? Is it usable yet? If not, how
long is it likely to be??

Thanks for your time.
Darryl
