Does the following not work...?

bevs -r (vsname)

edit /etc/vsd/priv in your fav text editor and change
"login:" to "login:admin"

su admin
setrights (anotheruser) +telnet

Do you get any errors?

Ahhh hang on, you are looking to grant other users the login priviledge?
This is not possible afaik (root can edit /etc/vsd/priv manually to do
this but thats about it) but are you sure you actually want this? You
do not need the login priveledge to login (go figure!) - only the telnet
priveledge.

If you are looking to grant ssh access, I'd recommend changing
/etc/pam.d/sshd like it says in www.fubra.com/vsdfaq/

PS: May I suggest that in the next release of freeVSD that the default
behaviour is to allow SSH as well as Telnet for anyone with the telnet
privilege?

ok, got vsd to allow admin login by editing /etc/vsd/priv but is there a
way
of making the admin user able to grant other users the login right - at
the
mo, from within the vs i get the following:

[admin@xko-vs01 /root]$ /usr/sbin/setrights moonman +admin
User admin does not have admin privilege
[admin@xko-vs01 /root]$

hi, just a quick question - after making a skel, then making a vs, and
changing the admin password, i try to ssh into the system but it will
not
let me (as admin or anyone else) login, after trying telnet instead, i
found
only admin can login.

when using setrights from within the vs or from svsdadm, it comes up
with:
"error: -ERR User admin does not have login privilege"

how can i re-configure this so everyone with an account can ssh into the
vs?
