Hello, All. I know that where FreeVSD is concerned, apparently source installs and RPM installs of packages do not mix. However, I was wondering if this applies to when you are generating your own skels?
There are some things I prefer installing via source (e.g., Apache, MySQL, etc. via the Apache Toolbox), and other stuff via RPM (e.g., Sendmail), for no other reason than I just simply prefer not to mess with the source installs of such packages. I haven't really had a chance to look at the genskel.pl script, but I imagine it must be possible to put the directories it looks in for the executeables (for example, I'd prolly want all the various "bin" and "sbin" directories). Anyway, hopefully I didn't muddle my question up *too* much there. I appreciate your help! -- Alan Murrell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Out the 10Base-T, through the router, down the T1, over the leased line, off the bridge, past the firewall... nothin' but 'Net! ------------------------- The freeVSD Support List -------------------------- Subscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=subscribe%20freevsd-support Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=unsubscribe%20freevsd-support Archives: http://freevsd.org/support/mail-archives/freevsd-support -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
