Hello all, I have just done something rather stupid - I went into a VS as root using "bevs" and went into "/root/" and then did "chown -R admin.admin .*" which, of course included ".." which meant I was changing ownership of everything in VS to admin.
This includes /bin/, /sbin etc. So I have a lot of files that don't have the SUexec bit set bit when they should have. Is this going to be the best way to repair this? Can I guarantee that this will NOT remove any files that are not in the skel?... 1 Duplicate skel 2 Shut down all VSes (theyre all based on same skel) 3 Use vsd-linkvs.pl to switch to the new (fresh) skel 4 Boot up VSes? I am using FreeVSD 1.4.10 btw (the one off the Idaya CD) Thanks, Ben Kennish [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------- The freeVSD Support List -------------------------- Subscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=subscribe%20freevsd-support Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=unsubscribe%20freevsd-support Archives: http://freevsd.org/support/mail-archives/freevsd-support -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
