Hello all! I'm looking for some suggestions from Free VSD veterans... I am just getting started: I have a designated machine for my FreeVSD but haven't even installed RedHat yet. This server will be dedicated to running FreeVSD so I'm looking to install the version of RH that will best suit FreeVSD but also give me the best features. I've read the FAQ regarding this but I'm looking for words of experience...
Does anyone have any opinions about which version of RedHat and which release of FreeVSD would provide for the most trouble-free installation? Also: My preference would be to be able to install from RPM, but I've seen comments in the archives about "better to install from source" - any opinions there? If I *must*, I guess I could compile a set of the recent sources from CVS, but being a naturally lazy individual, I'm looking to do as little work as possible :) so if someone is recommending that, I'd sure like to know what the benefits of the more recent codesets are. Thanks in advance for the tips.
