Q1: Do you have the FreeVSD provided glibc libraries installed
        in your virtual servers?

Q2: In what way is hostname ``not working''. Are you trying to set,
or read, the hostname; what arguments are passing it and
what error does it give? eg. What has lead you to believe
that it isn't working as it should?

Q3: You say that you've got several virtual-servers already and that
``some programs don't work now''. Does this mean that you've
installed or upgraded anything that was previously working?
If this is case, what have you installed or upgraded?

Five days delay replying perhaps does not convey obvious urgency. If it is
urgent, Idaya[1]--who make/release FreeVSD--will probably be able to offer
you a support-contact that will guarantee you a speedie response (although
perhaps not as quick as <20-minute reply you got earlier this week!)

Hope this helps,
