I do believe this is a very interesting way to make the FreeVSD system
even more a real virtual server system. I've been following the vserver
project of solucorp for the last few months now but haven't had the time
to look at the possibilities to merge this technology with the FreeVSD
administration system.
The solucorp solution uses a full copy of the hostserver's filesystem
for every virtual server, but i can't think of any reason why this
can't be a linked filesystem as it is used in FreeVSD.
Does anyone have some real world experience with solucorp's vserver?

The only drawback i could find is the need to patch the kernel. This
makes installing it quite messy when you don't know what you're doing.

You either have to patch everything (remember people can just upload and
compile their own `ps' from source too), or you can run FreeVSD on top of
something like `vserver' to achieve the proper virtualisation (which in-turn
removes the need to patch anything except `reboot' unless you still want the
indirection protection and extra control of the pseudo-root `admin' user):
