What specific rights does the /var/spool/mail uses? I've check the directory and it gives me the following: #] ls -l drwxr-xr-x 2 admin admin 4096 Sep 7 09:40 at drwxr-xr-x 2 admin admin 4096 Sep 7 09:40 cron drwxrwxr-x 2 admin admin 4096 Sep 7 09:40 mail drwxr-xr-x 2 admin admin 4096 Sep 7 09:40 mqueue Given the user rights, I tried to telnet my port 25 and sent a message to the user I created but it gives me the following error: 451 4.0.0 Can't create transcript file ./xfg873P3f03593: Permission denied The "mail" directory is denying the mail to be delivered to the said directory. Tried to changed it as root and solved the problem. My question is, it this the right way to make it work? or I have something to tweak in the configuration file? TIA.
