Hi all,

i'm experiencing similar problems on our servers. When you connect
to the SMTP server of any virtual server and send an e-mail, than the
header has the following line in it:
via s101.hostserver.nl [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] (may be forged) with ESMTP for
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

I can't get this line to disappear. There's no MTA running on
the hostserver and all virtual servers are running their
own xinetd. Does anyone have an idea on how to stop this?
It's just wacky as all the DNS settings for the domain of
the virtual server are correct and still it does a reverse lookup
for a domain not even handling the e-mail (s101.hostserver.nl). %|

Thanks in advance,

Maarten Engelen

Hi!

How can I configure my VPS to send my mails using its assigned public IP
address? I'm having a problem with this co'z my host server is running
behind
a bandwidth manager. Only my virtual private servers do have a bandwidth.

What the sendmail does is that, it uses my hosts' IP address to send e-mails
and since my host server does not have a bandwidth... all mails are being
queued. Any idea how do I fix this.

Any pointers greatly appreciated.

TIA.

Joey
