Hi,
I'm experiencing the following problem when running vsd-genskel.pl on my
redhat 7.3 box.
The machine is standard server install with only the openssl rpm installed
to fix the freevsd rpm dependency (requires libcrypto.so.1, libssl.so.1)
when I run vsd-genskel.pl I get this error;
-- merging /usr/sbin programs
-- merging /usr/libexec programs
-- merging skel repositories
-- installing third party rpms
error: failed dependencies:
glibc < 2.2.5 conflicts with glibc-common-2.2.5-34
glibc > 2.2.2 conflicts with glibc-common-2.2.2-10vsd
glibc-devel < 2.2.3 conflicts with glibc-2.2.5-34
openssl <= 0.9.6 conflicts with openssl096-0.9.6-13
-- deleting extra files
...finished.
The skel is created in the /home/vsd/skel directory, but when I cd into the
skel's /bin
directory there seems to be no "ls" or "rm", and this is also the case in
any virtual
servers I create based on that skel.
I read that the vsd rpm files should be numbered at least that of the
underlying redhat
linux installs, but in the case of glibc above, rh7.3 installed glibc 2.2.5
but there
are not vsd rpms available for 2.2.5. I don't have any earlier version.
Has anyone got freevsd working under redhat 7.3 or is this a fruitless
struggle.
Cheers
Tom H
