Hi,

unfortunetely the german kickers lost their last game. :(

Good for the FreeWRT project, because I have some time to hack ;)

We started with the OpenWrt kamikaze buildroot, because of the nice
multi-architecture and multi-board support. And it contains a lot of
cool packages, more than whiterussian.

But after some beta-testing I see that the brcm-2.4 port of Kamikaze
is really broken and it seems unusable. New board support, new
wireless drivers (which segfaults sometimes), new /etc/config
configuration, ... it seems all totally unused.

Therefore I will switch the board support patches for the kernel to
the stuff from whiterussian. I will keep changes, which are needed
for Netgear WGT634u support. (flash map driver, serial support, ..)

I will switch to nvram based configuration and old preinit/init
scripts, too.

I like to get a working FreeWRT snapshot, which behaves like a
stable OpenWrt whiterussian.

After that we can add new nice features.

Feel free to comment on that.

bye
    Waldemar
