As soon as I looked at the kernel code, I see an obvious typo that resulted in the problem seen before... Due to its typo the squashfs-lzma LzmaDecode was accidentally being used, which is compiled differently. This is why i need to learn to wait before I get all eager and send shit off to everyone ;).
