Good. Now we must use some servers. According to the use policy at http://www.pool.ntp.org/vendors.html we MUST NOT use the "pool.ntp.org" generic. I will send them an eMail requesting freewrt.pool.ntp.org for us to use, but I need an estimate of installations: Something like "less than 1000", "more than 100000" or "millions" is accurate enough. And we'd better do this quick, before 1.0. Sorry I didn't have the idea to check that beforehand. (We must not hardcode a specific server like PT Braunschweig either, see "Poul-Henning Kamp vs D-Link" for details.) Note: this applies to ntpdate &c. for the default configuration as well and is not OpenNTPD specific. //mirabile -- I believe no one can invent an algorithm.
