Hi,

I just want to let you know about my further project plans.
We finally merged the first part of the ADK rewrite to trunk. The
next step is to port over some missing packages (zaptel, asterisk,
php,..). After that I would like to restructure our target list and
provide a menu based network configuration in the ADK.

We have a lot of Linksys models, all very similar. I would like to
reduce the list of supported models to two symbolic models:
FWRT_LINUX_2_4_BRCM_LINKSYS_WRT54G
FWRT_LINUX_2_4_BRCM_LINKSYS_WRT54GS

The first is for all 4 MB flash models, the second for all 8 MB GS
models. This means I will add both switch drivers to both images.
The switch drivers are mostly the only difference. The overhead is
small.

The second step is to introduce network configuration in our ADK,
this would allow to preconfigure a device before flashing. After
this is finished all developers should start testing.

Between these steps Thorsten and Phil will start adding the second
part of the rewrite of the ADK to the common-adk branch.
When this is finished we will try to merge the changes from
broadcom-new to trunk. This will introduce the virtual access point
feature to all Asus/Linksys devices.

After that we have feature freeze and need a longer testing phase to
all packages and supported models.

Now is a very good time to update existing packages in trunk and add
new packages. After the merge of broadcom-new to trunk, the tree
will be closed for new packages.

Any further suggestions?

 best regards
        Waldemar
